Gun Fun is Cape Town’s only indoor shooting range, offering a thrilling experience for both experienced shooters and curious newcomers looking to test their marksmanship. Located in the vibrant city centre, our indoor shooting range offers a variety of firearms and fun shooting packages to make the most of your experience.

  • We are open from Monday to Friday: 09h00 to 17h00 and Saturday: 09h00 to 12h00.
  • We are closed on Sundays and public holidays.
  • Extended hours or operating days can be accommodated for special group bookings.
  • Packages are from R1950 per person and packages cannot be shared.
  • Packages include prescribed weapon rental, rounds, novelty target and the use of protection wear.
  • Additional guns and/or rounds can be booked at the range. The teenage package (minimum age of 16 years old) is R695 per person.

This depends on which package you select, the size of your group, as well as any other activities you choose to partake in. We recommend planning at least an hour for your experience.

While there are no requirements we do suggest that you wear closed-toed shoes and avoid tank tops as there could be hot brass flying into unwanted places.

No problem! Our expert staff will give you a safety briefing and tell you everything you need to know and expect when you shoot for the first time. They will be with you every step of the way.

  • We allow persons from the age of 16 years old. (accompanied by a parent / guardian)
  • Visitors younger than 21 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Yes. But children under the age of 12 years old will not be allowed in the range area as their safety is our utmost concern.

Absolutely. All firearms are licensed by the South African Police Service. The Guns 4 Africa shooting range is licensed by NCRS as well as SASSETA and is also a proud member of Cape Town Tourism. Our officers are specialists and customer safety are our primary concern.

No, we don’t allow pregnant women to shoot at Gun Fun.

You are welcome to take photos if you are in the range and not handling a weapon. When a range officer is available, they will help take a photo of you during your shooting experience.

No, alcohol is strictly prohibited. Any individual suspected of being under the influence will not be allowed to shoot.

Although packages include a set of weapons and shots, packages may change temporarily due to firearm maintenance requirements. Ammunition availability might also require temporary package amendments.

Right of admission is reserved and the use of the range is managed by range management. All guests and visitor are required to sign an indemnity form before they may use the facilities or participate in any activities. Visitors to the range agree that they are fit for the purpose of visit and will comply with safety officers. Visitors confirm they are not under the influence of any illegal substance or alcohol, comply with the general rules and are the required age.

Groups (8 pax or more): 7 days prior to activity = 50% of full cost.
No show and cancellation within 24 hours prior to activity = 100% of activity cost.
